With the long-time coming release of Avatar: The Way of Water – the second installment in the Avatar franchise – NYX Professional Makeup has launched a new collection inspired by the highly anticipated film. The new Avatar movie will hit theaters on Dec. 16, 2022, but the makeup inspired by the vibrant world and luminescent characters of Pandora is now available. The colorful collection will be available online at nyxcosmetics.com as well as in stores at Ulta and Macy’s.
Makeup Inspired By Film Artistry
Taking inspiration from the artistry in the film, the collection aims to provide a vivid and colorful choice for makeup lovers and Avatar fans. The Na’vi Paint is a limited-edition eye, face and body paint mimicking Avatar blue. It is smudge-resistant as well as highly saturated.
Ranging from $9 to $40 USD, the collection includes vegan and cruelty-free products. The Avatar: The Way of Water Color Eyeshadow Palette includes 24 shades inspired by the lush forests and illuminated seas of the Pandora biomes. Another palette – the Pandoran Paradise Palette – features six blushes and highlighters. The collection also includes Na’vi clan-inspired highlighter sticks.
For lips, makeup enthusiasts can choose Paper Lipsticks in two hues inspired by the film’s leaders. If a gloss is more your style, the Bioluminescent Lip Gloss comes in three intense shades. Seal the look with the Metkayina Facial Mist setting spray, which brings in marine ingredients as a nod to Pandora’s sea settings.
A Commitment to The Environment
Aside from the focus on vegan and cruelty-free products, NYX’s Avatar: The Way of Water collection is committed to minimizing waste. All palettes, paints, lipsticks, glosses and sprays were created using recycled materials to reduce the impact on the planet. What better way to honor the environmentally conscious message of the movie franchise?
In addition, NYX is supporting the Avatar: The Way of Water “Keep Our Oceans Amazing” campaign by asking fans to support the global nonprofit organization, The Nature Conservancy. When consumers post on social media using the hashtags #KeepOurOceansAmazing, #NYXCosmeticsForAvatar and #AvatarTheWayOfWater, NYX will donate $1 up to $50,000 to the nonprofit in order to protect the ocean and its habitants.
